Redskins: Alfred Morris Sports a Different Brand of ‘Bentley’

He came into the league with low expectations. Many assumed he’d be a practice squad guy.

He earned the starting job in the Washington Redskins backfield.

Through two weeks, his 185 rushing yards leads all rookie running back and ranks eighth-best amongst the NFL overall.

He’s quiet, yet effective. Very similar to that of an assassin.

He’s respectful, well-spoken and humble.

As part of his rookie contract, he’s set to earn $390,000 for the 2012 season.

He still drives the 1991 Mazda 626 sedan that he received as his first car while a junior at Florida Atlantic, referring to it as his ‘Bentley’.

His name is Alfred Morris.

Needless to say, Alfred Morris is the man.

“It has some sentimental value to it now,” Morris said. “It just keeps me grounded, where I came from and all the hard work for me to get to this point. So that’s what helps me.”
